Dakota Grill
Film noir film set meets Manhattan supper club is how we would describe the Dakota Grill located inside the boutique Dakota hotel in Nottingham. With its dim lighting and dark-wood interior, the Dakota Grill is a sexy place for discreet rendezvous and business dealings, and the luxury venue is a hit with local fashionistas who adore the classic grill menu and chic cocktail menu. With its parquet floors, chocolate leather bucket seats and bare brick walls lined with expensive bottles of red, this is the kind of place where deals are sealed and love affairs are ignited. Don't miss the English steak frites with Béarnaise sauce and the steamed chocolate sponge cake served with creamy chocolate ice cream.

Paul's Restaurant
Paul’s Restaurant has been serving contemporary British cuisine of the highest calibre for the past eight years in Brentford. The formal restaurant offers lunches from Tuesday to Friday, dinners from Tuesday to Saturday and sits alongside a wine lounge in which to spend a decidedly relaxed evening. In a rustic farmhouse style setting with palm trees framing the outside seating area, why not start with the smoked salmon and Dijon mustard before plumping for the grilled swordfish steak with spicy lentil salsa? A large selection of wines, beers and non-alcoholic drinks are on hand to accompany your culinary adventure.

Restaurant 1877
Restaurant 1877 is a welcome addition to the Nottingham dining scene, located in the landmark building on Canning Circus formerly occupied by Ben Bowers. The décor is in keeping with the building's history, with oak wood floors, chandeliers, red leather banquettes and marble fireplaces creating an opulent setting for any occasion. The modern European menu was put together by head chef Mark Osborne, who has worked in award-winning restaurants like Hart’s, Café Bleu and Langar Hall. The Larder on Goosegate
In an elegant, unpretentious first floor dining room that was once apothecary Jesse Boot's first shop, The Larder on Goosegate serves delicious traditional and modern British dishes. The emphasis is on the best quality ingredients - cheeses from Colston Bassett Dairy, meat from local smallholdings and organic vegetables from Eden Farms. Firm year-round favourites, such as the grass-fed Angus beef steak with chips and Larder ketchup, sit alongside specials that reflect the best of what's in season. Star dishes include crisp belly pork with creamed-potato; venison loin with warm celeriac and mustard remoulade; and marmalade bread and butter pudding. Vegetarians are also well-catered for with dishes like the Puy lentil and red onion 'shepherd's pie' and the purple sprouting broccoli tart.
