Restaurant 1877 is a welcome addition to the Nottingham dining scene, located in the landmark building on Canning Circus formerly occupied by Ben Bowers. The décor is in keeping with the building's history, with oak wood floors, chandeliers, red leather banquettes and marble fireplaces creating an opulent setting for any occasion. In an elegant, unpretentious first floor dining room that was once apothecary Jesse Boot's first shop, The Larder on Goosegate serves delicious traditional and modern British dishes. The emphasis is on the best quality ingredients - cheeses from Colston Bassett Dairy, meat from local smallholdings and organic vegetables from Eden Farms. Firm year-round favourites, such as the grass-fed Angus beef steak with chips and Larder ketchup, sit alongside specials that reflect the best of what's in season. The Orchid Restaurant
The Orchid restaurant, located right on Nottingham's Trent Bridge, is a family run restaurant offering mainly Chinese cuisine, but also a variety of other hand-picked South East Asian specialities.
