Senior Staff Nurse
An amazing job opportunity has just arisen for a committed Senior Staff Nurse to join an exceptional care home based in the Nottinghamshire area. As a Senior Staff Nurse you will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers.
This special home provides acute adult mental health services, delivered in partnership with the areas Healthcare Trust. They have a Medium Secure Services on site for patients with a learning disability, and we are looking to develop other service types in the future.
As a Senior Staff Nurse your day to day duties include:
• Responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual care plans.
• Participating in a range of assessments including risk and self-harm.
• Supervising a designated number of Health Care Assistants and students.
• Assisting in standard setting and evaluating quality outcomes.
• Being expected to take charge of the ward/unit in the absence of the person with continuing responsibility, under the direction of senior staff.
• Working as a Primary/Named/Key Worker advising and supporting junior colleagues.
• Maintaining good standards of communication, both oral and written, in accordance with NMC guidance.
• Responsibility for reporting to the Ward Manager any circumstances that may affect the delivery of care and/or efficient running of the ward.
• Providing supervision to other staff, qualified and unqualified.
• Ensuring the security of the unit and all who use it and that policies and procedures are in place and followed.
An ideal Senior Staff Nurse must have the following skills as they are beneficial to this position:
• Understanding of care planning processes and be fully familiar with clinical assessment tools
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Able to work within a team as well as independently
• Be able to demonstrate initiative and be adaptive and flexible.
• Able to show a can-do attitude always
The successful Senior Staff Nurse will receive an excellent annual salary of £35,007.97 per annum. This exciting position is a Full Time role and in return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
