Ward Manager
A fantastic new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Ward Manager to manage wards in an exceptional hospital setting based in Nottinghamshire. As a Ward Manager you will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers.
This special home provides acute adult mental health services, delivered in partnership with the areas Healthcare Trust. They have a Medium Secure Services on site for patients with a learning disability, and we are looking to develop other service types in the future.
As a Ward Manager your day to day duties include:
• Engage with other members of the Ward MDT, to facilitate positive and efficient MDT working
• Lead Team reviews of incidents; makes sure that staff receive incident debriefs in a timely way
• Act as a highly visible role model, mentor and leader, creating a culture that promotes learning, development, inquiry and professionalism, celebrates achievements and shares learning to the benefit of the ward, hospital and wider division
• Take appropriate action to ensure that the standard of care that patients receive is of the highest standard.
• Ensure that all members of the nursing team receive clinical supervision, appraisal, CPD requirements and complete mandatory training.
• Have full oversight of the nursing staff rota and is the authorised individual to ensure rota management and eRostering standards are maintained and are effective.
An ideal Ward Manager must have these skills as they are beneficial for this position:
• Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with an active, NMC PIN Registration.
• Desire and motivation to work within an acute environment.
• Motivated, flexible and ready to take on a new challenge
• Would like to work as part of an established hospital, with a collaborative and supportive MDT, that provide a clear pathway for the patients in our care.
• Focused on patient centred care.
• Have a commitment to developing and delivering high quality care.
The successful Ward Manager will receive an excellent annual salary of £41,280.05 per annum. This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
